Ali bin Abi Talib was one of the caliphs who were members of Khulafaur Rashidin. He is the fourth caliph. His father, Abu Talib, was the uncle of Rasulullah SAW. He was born 23 years before the Prophet's migration to Medina. When Ali turned around ten years of age, that was when the Prophet Muhammad received the first revelation.

Ali, since childhood he has been known to be smart and brave. He received direct instruction from the Prophet, because they lived together under one roof. Because of his broad insight, he got the nickname "Babul Ilmu" which means "gate of knowledge". Apart from passing on his good qualities, he has also provided words of wisdom full of advice for all of us. Here are a few examples.
