In this app you can have one or more forest estates can be laid out. However, a forest estate must be available to set up sample plots. Since each sample plot needs too be linked to a forest estate. The forest estate contains only one name and 0 or more sample plots.
Each sample plot that is posted requires at least one number of stems or basal area (Is obtained by relascope) to be entered for one tree species/group (pine tree, spruce, leaf or valuable broadleaved). It is also mandatory to specify domain height, age at breast height and medium diameter if basal area (Is obtained by relascope) is selected. If number of stems is selected, mean height and average age are mandatory, this is because otherwise it is not possible to calculate how much volume there is for this sample plot or to be able to obtain growth for it. GPS coordinates will be automatically saved for the sampled areas if the mobile phone allows it. A picture can be taken and saved for this sample plot, however it is not necessary information for the sample plot.
You can access any estate in the app by directly clicking on one of the lines in the estate list. At the view of the estate you can choose to create a new sample plot or to email all sample plots available for this estate. Please note that the pictures will NOT be sent. They take up too much space. If you click on one of the sample plots in the list you will get a dialogue if both GPS coordinates and a picture for this sample plot have been saved. If you choose a picture, you will see the captured image of the sample plot. If you select the map option, you will be able to see through the map programme where you were when you took this sample plot in the app. Note that if no picture has been saved, you will go directly to the map to see where the sample plot is.
Tools to be used to obtain values on the test surfaces: Relascope, altimeter and caliper.
