Four caliphs (Arabic: الخلفاء الراشدون) or Khalifah Ar-Rasyidin were four Caliphs (leaders) of Islam first, believed by Muslims as the successor to the leadership after Nabi Muhammad wafat. Four people are the companions of Muhammad recorded closest and best known in the defense doctrine that brought in the current period of Muhammad's prophethood. The fourth caliph was chosen not by their offspring, but by consensus of the Muslims. [
