We ask you to scan your M-Pesa SMS and other information to verify identity and creditworthiness. Koro also uses accessibility services (USSD) to simplify the app use for people with disabilities. Accessibility Service is used to access bank statements and transaction data via the USSD channel and evaluate your creditworthiness based on your transaction history. Data is accessed with explicit permission of the user, if no permission given, the application cannot request the statement.
Data we Collect and Process: name, middle name, and surname, phone number, your transaction data for the last 12 months.
To confirm the bank statement request, the application uses your M-PESA PIN temporarily during the process. The PIN or other data related to identification with banking and mobile wallet systems, is not stored or retained by the application at any time. Koro does not access or store any sensitive data through accessibility services.
How does it work?

Visit the Google Play Store. Search for the Koro Loan App and download it on your mobile.
2. Fill out the short application form
After downloading our app, choose how much money you need and sign up with Koro.
3. Receive money on your M-Pesa account
Your application will be evaluated, and when approved - you will receive money in your M-Pesa account.
4. Need additional financing?
Take advantage of flexible additional amount feature, which allows you to top up your existing loan with extra cash up to your current credit limit.
5. Need more time to repay?
Loan extensions give you more control over your loan, allowing to postpone your due date by 7, 14, or 30 days.
6. Repay on time and build a positive credit history
Timely repayment increases your credit limit and allows you to apply for higher amounts.
