when we read the Qur'an it is not the same as reading a newspaper, we are also required to be able to recognize and understand punctuation in each sentence that is in the Qur'an. Tajweed is very important, because if we cannot understand the science of jadwid, then the possibility of our misunderstanding is very large. Understanding Tajwid (تجويد) literally means to do something good and beautiful or good and smart, this tajwid comes from the Arabic word "Jawwada" (جوّد-يجوّد-تجويدا). Tajweed in the science of Qiraah has the meaning of removing letters from their place by giving them the properties they have.
