Tahlil or Tahlilan is a practice that is routinely carried out by most Muslims mainly including the majority of the nahdliyin / nahdlatul ulama (NU) community when there are relatives or neighbors who are killed by the reading of thayyibah sentences, short letters, verses the Qur'an for example yasin and ends with the prayer tahlil, both read in large scale or only followed by family and neighbors.
