Naff was formed in 1998 and domiciled in Bandung. The band was formed by four young men from Bandung. Rusyaedi Makmun was one of the founders of the band and got the position of vocalist and creator of Naff songs. Ady invited Odeu and Ade who initially played drums, but now both are guitarists.

They have also agreed to record their song demos at Kanamusik Studio in Bandung. It turned out that the owner of the music studio was Dedi, a graduate of the Associate Degree and the Wake Tecnical College National Radio Institute Diploma 95 officially joined as guitarist.

They have released the album Born as a sign of their presence.
