Stream Shiksha is an upcoming and innovative solution to today’s needs of online education. Keeping in mind the guidelines issued by "MyGov India: App Innovation Challenge", we have created a platform for easy access to online teaching and learning with various features that set us apart. Our motive is to make a smooth transition from class-based learning to app-based learning by keeping the essential elements of a class intact in this time of COVID-19 pandemic and beyond. As studies take a leap from chalks and boards to screens and undo buttons, the requirement for mobile phones applications is highly anticipated. Stream Shiksha offers a range of comprehensive tools to make teaching-learning a simple, interesting as well as ethical process. With a simple-to-use GUI, it is the perfect option for both teachers and students who may not be highly tech-savvy. A Stream Shiksha user has at their disposal, a variety of options to equip the teachers and students for a hassle-free experience where they can solely focus on the academics without worrying about the complex technicalities of digitization.

Key Features:

Webinar: To accommodate several hundred students for a common lecture. Can be used for day one orientations, speeches and announcements.

Lecture: For an intimate class of 40-50 students along with a teacher.

Workshop: Provides tool to show videos of experiments to all participating students

Broadcast: Helps send a video message to all participants across all classes from a master account.

The LIVE Stream:
A peculiar tool where you can stream expert lectures to as many students as wanted. Equipped with a code available to only the students of the institute, it ensures security without creating barriers between students of different classes.

The LIVE stream has options to:
1. Chat with the speaker through textbox
2. Present a PPT or share a video
3. White Board option to illustrate any concept with pen
4. Attendance feature to mark the number of students present

The lessons in LIVE stream can be recorded by the students. This will enable repetitive viewership as per convenience.

The Classroom Stream:
For the regular everyday conducting of classes. It has two options:
Your Classroom: The classrooms created by the user are listed here. It can be edited by the creator only. The code for joining the classroom is available only to the creator and is at his discretion to allow distribution of code. The creator of classroom can view the list of all participating students and can control the inflow by deleting unwanted additions in the class. Also, the creator can upload assignments for evaluation.

Joined Classroom: Displays the list of all classrooms joined by the particular user. Allows the user to upload the submissions for the assignments. Doesn’t permit user to manipulate the classroom thus, the autonomy and control of the class remains with the creator, i.e. the teacher.

Apart from these, attendance marking, monitoring and other essential aspects of a classroom are the part of Stream Shiksha App. It can become the future of Indian Education under the correct guidance and support. Free-of-charge, this app will act as a portal of equality in education to everyone without the hindrance of high costs associated usually.
