Traffic Safety Smart Alert Gangneung provides a smartphone-based pedestrian traffic safety service. This service was introduced through the "2023 ITS Innovative Technology Contest (Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport)", and as of March 2023, the service is only available in some areas of Gangneung City (service expansion planned in the future).

If you only have a smartphone, you can receive risk notification services.

■ Provide traffic safety specialized services in conjunction with C-ITS infrastructure
Various safety services are provided by linking with surrounding CCTV and transportation system infrastructure.
- Vehicle approach notification and collision warning in areas with poor visibility
- Prevention of road crossing accidents and guidance on jaywalking
- Waiting time notification linked to traffic light information

■ Providing safety services to protect pedestrians on national highways
We provide safety services for pedestrians in national highway environments with mixed roads, sidewalks, and parking lots.
It provides danger notifications not only from vehicles, but also from various means such as motorcycles, kickboards, and bicycles.
