Homing Space is a private, decentralized authentication and authorization system that works inside a phone browser. It is totally free to end users. Businesses that use this system as a way to acquire members would be charged a tiny fee per login. In the initial days, even businesses would be able to use this free.

This app is used to set up and restore the required data inside the browsers of such a phone. This app can also be used to restore a previous Homing Space account. Furthermore, this app allows business that allows people with Homing Space accounts to send notifications to those users.

The app does NOT use your email address. It does NOT use your phone number. In fact, you are never identified. Only the device ID where the Homing Space account is setup is needed, and your device should have a working SIM card.

The reason is as follows: Homing Space is a membership system where each member is both anonymous and reasonably unique (i.e. without additional accounts) A working SIM card is needed only to guarantee that the app is not being run on an emulator or some device to fake such an account.

The advantage of creating a Homing Space are many:
a) The user can enter ALL websites/apps that use Homing Space; using just ONE password
b) Fanatic privacy. You are fully anonymous. No email address or phone number is ever revealed to businesses. You can be contacted via notifications to your phone, but that is in your control.
c) No chance of phishing attacks. All authentication happens inside your own phone browser at https://my.homing.space
d) Your Homing Space can be restored onto another phone, in case you lose your phone or you buy a new one. Thieves cannot impersonate you, as each Homing Space is locked with your password
e) You become your own one central source of your truth: All your "properties" such as birthday, blood group, even email addresses are kept in your own Homing Space. So when a merchant asks for them, it is you and you alone who would give them out as needed. No more delegating this material to some other site
f) For the first time, now it is possible for people to go about on the Internet much the same way they do in the real physical world: Remain anonymous and yet conduct yourself authentically
g) The unique ID for each user is different at different businesses that use Homing Space. This ensures that businesses cannot share data among themselves regarding their users

Advantages for businesses
1. GDPR compliance is a no-brainer simply because no private data of the user is collected without the explicit consent of the user
2. As this is almost completely decentralized there is no way a hacker can gather together credentials of users of a business in one lot
3. No need to separately implement an OTP layer. Each access of the user is as strong and authentic as an OTP based access
4. The chance of users taking multiple accounts in a business system are minimal as Homing Space is tied to the phone
5. Increase in quality of interactions, commenting and participation: Earlier nasty people would take an account on a site, write some rubbish or faulty logic (or both), and start another with another Gmail address, etc. The "sock puppet" problem has corrupted a lot of the goodness on the Internet. Homing Space largely solves this
6. Businesses now have opportunities to develop new knds of highly private apps and social networks, genuine voting systems, wikis, blockchain based apps etc that are truly democratic.
7. This is built for massive scale. The backend is in Erlang and cleverly uses IPFS files as its data store
8. Uses audited cryptography. Anyone can easily verify that indeed the asymmetric cryptography indeed assures that nobody can impersonate the authentic user. Not even our company
9. It would take less than half a day to convert existing systems to use Homing Space
10. Business can use other systems such as OAuth, etc. as that can be built on top of Homing Space, if so needed
