Six teams start in the first phase, 13 enter the second and the best 8 go to the third. The four winners of the third stage go to the group stage and the four eliminated to the group stage of the Sudamericana. In the group stage, the teams are divided into 8 groups of 4, with the first two advancing to the round of 16 and the third placed going to the round of 16 at the Sudamericana. In case of equality in the score, the tie-breaking criteria are:
1) better goal difference;
2) more pro goals;
3) more goals away from home;
4) Conmebol ranking.
Eighth, Quarter and Semifinal follow the same criteria as in the initial knockout stages. In the Final, in a single game, in the event of a tie, there is an overtime of 30 minutes and, if equality persists, the title is decided in a penalty shootout.
