Mahika is an app that aims to provide a voice for women who face harassment and abuse. It enables them to record and report incidents, connect with police and the community, and access nearby places for basic needs.
1) Auto-Recording
By tapping the volume and volume down button, the app can record the voice of the incident and send it to nearby police with the name and current location automatically after 1 minute if the auto-sending is not declined.
2) Communities
The app connects all women and police in your area in a common group where they can interact with each other regarding any problem they face. Police have access to all the communities and can respond to any reports or requests. Video and Image proofs can also be added if exist.
3) Show Nearby places needed for them
The app provides information about basic amenities a woman needs in case of an emergency or if they are new to the place. Some of the basic needs of women, such as hospitals, pharmacies, police stations, etc. are fulfilled in the application
4) Preventive to data tampering
When the voice gets recorded in an emergency, the voice recording is stored in the storage so that even if they try to cancel, the proofs will be safe.
