Use your smartwatch as a regatta watch!

This app provides all the features you already know from present regatta watches, such as countdown (followed by countup), synchronization (up and down), but it additionally uses the internal smartwatch GPS sensor to calculate speed over ground (SOG), heading and time to distance.

Post-start, the app gives you all the information you need to make your tactical decisions.

The app's behavior can be configured to fit your exact needs.

Does this app work on a smartphone?
Yes, it does. However, the user interface is specifially designed for smartwatches. It will work as expected, but it doesn't look good.

Who should use this app?
This app is specifically designed for short up-and-down races (midweek regattas), where you don't get GPS coordinates for marks and you don't determine exact GPS coordinates of the starting line.

Who shouldn't use this app?
If you sail long-distance races and need to specify GPS coordinates in advance, then this app is not what you want!

Will this app be improved in the future?
The app is in personal use since 2019. Most of the features are implemented because of personal needs. If you have feature requests, leave a comment and we will discuss it, however, the first premise is to keep the app useful for short up-and-down races!

Are there other use-cases?
This app can also help you to compare different trim settings: Start the timer (count-up from zero) and sail with a specific trim. Stop the timer after a certain time and note your average speed. Change your trim, repeat the process and compare the average speeds.

Why does this app cost so much?
The development of the app took some time and it needed a lot of testing on the water. Not all tests were successful, meaning some starts turned out pretty bad, because of some bugs in the early phase. Consider the price of the app to compensate for development time and some bad races :-)
