It is an application developed based on Dorothea E. Orem's self-care deficit theory which supports the independent self-management of hypertensive patients, which is designed according to the needs of hypertensive patients in a comprehensive manner and can be used via smartphone. This application has been tested for usability testing using the Usability Scale (SUS) questionnaire with a score of 74.44. This value is included in the grade scale category B, adjective rating Good, acceptability range acceptable. MaRiTensi has been tested for effectiveness through a Randomized Controlled Trial research design on 99 respondents according to the criteria and the results prove that MaRiTensi is effective in increasing motivation, self-efficacy, self-care and reducing systolic and diastolic blood pressure compared to the control group.
The process that needs to be done before using MaRiTensi is that users are required to download and install MaRiTensi on their smartphone. Once installed, users must register and log in using their cellphone number and password, then complete their personal data via the profile menu in their account. Profile data that must be completed by users includes contacts, which contain name, cellphone number, email, place of residence, nearest health service and distance of health service from home; personal data, which contains gender, date of birth, marital status, religion, highest level of education, occupation, ethnicity and monthly income; health data, which contains height, length of time suffering from hypertension, frequency of blood pressure control in a month and data on medications taken.
