Welcome to the first-ever version of the Marker app.

We've worked hard to bring you an app that feels inclusive, intuitive and hopefully, as fun to use as it was to create!

Wondering how or why Marker came to be? Well, it's simple really. We want to empower the everyday person to record, upload and sell short videos about their favourite brands and products without brand briefing, intervention or the need for you to have a social media following.
You see, we believe that everyone (that's you) has untapped influence, and that everyone's perspective is worth celebrating. A belief in the power of the authentic human experience is exactly why we've created this app.

Here's how it works for you:
-Download our app and sign up as a reviewer.
-Registration is quick and simple, and the info we ask for helps us to understand you and the brands you love a little better.
-Once your registration has been approved by us, you can start uploading videos straight through the app!
-On the app, you'll find a list of our partner brands (the ones that need videos right now), or you can create a video about any brand/product you love.
-We strongly suggest enabling push notifications so you'll know when you sell a video, AND be the first to know about new brands registering on the platform.
-Create a 30-second or less video (review, GRWM, tutorial, first impressions, vlogs, etc.) and upload it to the app following the on-screen steps.
-We'll review your video, and if it meets our quality checks, it's published for sale.
-If the brand you mentioned likes your video, they can buy it instantly and use it as part of their marketing.
-For each video you sell, you'll earn 50% of the sale price, all paid directly into your bank account through the app using Stripe Connect.
-Rinse and repeat, the more videos you upload, the more you can earn!

As for the brands? Well, they love all things authentic, and they can see that the tides are a-turning. Gone are the days of their marketing focusing around tightly controlled, scripted, polished video content; now, brands want to see their brand/products through the faces, perspectives and souls of their real customers, and that's where your videos come into their own.

So, just remember this: when you next log into our app and plan out the videos you want to record and upload, think of it like talking to a friend; be honest, engaging, personality-filled, and most importantly, be you!
