This application makes it possible to calculate the speed and the pressure losses in the pipes according to the hydraulic characteristics such as flow, diameter and topographical characteristics (upstream and downstream coast).

In addition, depending on the total length of the pipe, it will determine the total head and pump power required to deliver water from point A to point B.

The pressure drop coefficient is a dimensionless number characterizing the linear pressure losses in the pipes. This coefficient increases with the age of the pipes. The application "Hydraulic Calculations" takes this into account. The choice of this coefficient is part of the initial parameters to be filled in before starting the calculation. By default, it is proposed a coefficient of roughness of 0.1. In addition, to calculate the total pressure losses, a coefficient of 1.1 is applied to the linear pressure losses.
