Like a lot of new immigrants, Ted Vardalos come over from Greece and had worked hard in the restaurant business all of his life. Seeing that he loved cooking for others, and figured he could start open up a Pizza restaurant, and it was there he created the recipe for the pizza shells and pizza sauce from scratch.

Flash forward many years now, Ted has taken his one store from 1963 and opened up many stores and has a Niakwa Pizza Commisary. All the Niakwa Pizza stores receive fresh products weekly from the Niakwa Pizza Commisary and served to our customers fresh on a daily.
