In full, this maulid has the original title Simtudduror fi akhbar Maulid Khairil Basyar min akhlaqi wa aushaafi wa siyar. However, to make it easier to pronounce, people usually call it Maulid Simtudduror. Mawlid Simtudurror is usually read in ta'lim assemblies and special religious gatherings. It contains the sholawat and life history of the Prophet from birth to being appointed as an Apostle.

Mawlid Simtudurror was composed by Habib Ali bin Muhammad bin Husin Al-Habsyi. He is a great scholar who was born on Friday, 24 Shawwal 1259 H in Qasam, Hadhramaut. Habib Ali was raised by his parents named Muhammad bin Husin and As-Sharifah Alawiyyah bint Husain. At that time, Habib Ali's mother was known as a pious woman who was very wise.

At a very young age, Habib Ali Al-Habsyi has studied and completed the Al-Quran. He succeeded in mastering the physical and mental sciences before reaching the age in general. Habib Ali then returned to study, develop, and broadcast his religious knowledge. He composed an essay entitled "Simtud Duror Fi Akhbar Maulid Khairil Basyar wa Ma Lahu min Akhlaq wa Aushaf wa Siyar".

This essay is a form of a small treatise that contains the story of the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad SAW. It contains the story of the Prophet from birth to death. In addition, citing the book The Habaib Network in Java Island in the 20th Century by Agus Permana, this maulid also contains a string of pearls of the noble qualities of the Prophet. Mawlid Simtudduror is widespread in Seiwun to all of Yemen and Hadhramaut.

Even this birthday is also spread to several other countries as far away as Africa and Indonesia. Habib Ali bin Muhammad bin Husin Al-habsyi died in the city of Seiwun, Hadhramaut, on Sunday 20 Rabi'ul Akhir 1333 H. He left several sons who are now continuing their role in preaching and broadcasting religion.
