Al-Quran is a complete constitution for the human race. Allaah has placed innumerable rewards in reciting and listening to the Quran. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: Whoever recites the Quran and memorizes it and pays attention to the rules, he will be with the highly respected angels.
And he who recites the Quran in spite of hardships and keeps himself attached to it, will be entitled to double the reward. He further said, "Recite the Quran. Because on the Day of Resurrection, the Quran will be an intercessor for its reciter. Whoever recites one letter of the Holy Quran will get a virtue." And one virtue is equal to ten virtues.
On the Day of Resurrection, the reciter of the Quran will be told to recite the Quran and ascend. Recite the Quran in the same way as the world. Where your verses are recited, your abode will be in that high place of Paradise.
Explaining the importance of reciting the Quran, the Prophet (peace be upon him) said, The greatest of you is the one who learns the Qur'an by himself and teaches it to others.
In the hadith Qudsi, Allah Almighty says, Whoever could not ask me for anything because of the recitation of the Quran, I give him more than the supplicant.

A person who is proficient in reciting the Quran is the companion of the revered angels (in terms of honor they are the equivalent of the honored angels) and a person who gets stuck in the mouth while reciting the Quran, stumbles again and again and finds it very difficult to recite is doubly rewarded. Just one more time for recitation and another time for suffering.
The parents of the one who recites the Quran are also fortunate. His Parents have to wear two garments, which are more valuable than all the things in the world. They will say, because of which period have we been given such precious clothes? It will be said, because of your child's acceptance of the Quran.
Reciting a verse of the Qur'an is better than gaining a camel.
Narrated from Hazrat Ayesha (RA), Prophet Mohammad (SAW) said, inside the prayer
It is better to recite it than to recite it outside the prayer. And reciting outside the prayers is better than tasbeeh and takbeer. And reciting tasbeeh is better than chadka. And chadka is better than fasting. And fasting is a shield to escape from hell.
Narrated Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him): Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said that the example of a Muslim who recites the Quran is like a turanj (or orange). Whose fragrance is also good and the taste is also excellent. And the example of a Muslim who does not recite the Quran is like a date. Which has no fragrance but the taste is very sweet. And that hypocrite does not read the Quran. His example is like the fruit of Hanjal. Whose taste is bitter and has no fragrance. And the example of the hypocrite who recites the Quran is like a fragrant flower. Whose fragrance is nice but the taste is bitter.
How pleasing to Allah Almighty to recite or listen to the Quran is that it is not lawful in the Shari'ah to be jealous of any human being. But it is permissible to be jealous of those who recite the Quran. Because, if he has it in his heart, why can't my brother recite the Quran so beautifully; Such jealousy has been legitimized.
Imam Khattabi (Rah.) Said in the hadith that the number of stairs in Paradise is the number of verses in the Quran. The reciter of the Quran will be told to climb the stairs as far as you have read the Quran. He who has read the whole Quran will ascend the last step of the Hereafter. The person who has read some part of the Quran will rise to that level. That is, the end of the rider will be the end of the rider.
O Allah! Please grant us all the grace to recite the Quran more and more, to listen and learn the Quran and to act accordingly.
