Main duties of mechanical civil servants

- Belong to the central administrative agency or each local government and be in charge of implementing policies for each department and region
- Automobiles, railway vehicles, machine tools, industrial machinery, construction machinery, agricultural machinery, heating and cooling, prime movers, water supply, sanitation equipment, meters, etc.
Technical work related to various kinds of mechanical furniture and equipment
- Operational technical tasks such as operation of railroad powered vehicles and operation and operation of locomotives

How to become a mechanical civil servant

To become a mechanical civil servant, you must take and pass the regular recruitment test conducted by the Ministry of Human Resources and Innovation and each local government.
Recruitment tests are largely divided into ‘by position’ for grades 9 and 7, and ‘by recruitment agency (by region)’ for national and local positions.
