This application, developed by MICO Electrical Services is designed to address a number of core challenges within our business. These challenges relate to;
Recruiting staff and efficient management of the recruitment process - The application will allow prospective employees to respond to job advertisements and to validate their identity and their suitability to work at MICO by uploading relevant certificates to the application. These applications for employment can be more easily managed and vetted, ensuring that applicants are applying for the correct job, relative to their qualifications and enables time to be more efficiently spent by administrative staff
Managing site locations and deploying workforce to these locations - MICO can be deployed on multiple sites across UK / Ireland at any time, with anything from 100-200 active empployees. The business wishes to scale but needs to be able to do so with confidence, knowing where approved staff are allocated, and to determine any availability / under supply
Managing the collection of timesheets in order that payments to employees can be much more efficient – There is a consistent industry problem, not restricted to MICO, whereby collating timesheets from staff employed on these sites / multiple locations is a challenge. This application allows for consistency in information collected, enabling faster verification / validation by supervising staff and contracting authority to enable more efficient payments
Managing leave requests and time off from staff across multiple locations – further to above the ability to manage time sheets as well as time off, for employees will make things easier for the administrative staff and provides transparency to employees of time entitled to, as well as time spent.
Ability to monitor compliance through validity / expiry information of relevant certification, necessary to work on sites - Working on location requires specific industry qualifications. This ensures fail safes are in place that maintains compliance but also allows employees to be directed to essential / further training opportunities.
The application will have specific ‘account’ information available to those who have been approved to work at MICO only. Prior to this only application for jobs functionality will be available.
The application will allow communication from employees to administrators at backend portal, as well as from MICO management through the application. It will also provide detailed business insights from the data collected in the form of reports that will enable the business to measure its overall productivity, resource use and profitability.
