This novel mobile app has been developed by Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed to be University Dental College and Hospital, Department of Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry by Dr Krishna Patil, Dr Preetam Shah and their team.
This app is designed using AI based technology having audiovisual, interactive speech enabled interface with attractive visual images, music. Developed in two languages namely Marathi and English. It comprises of interactive questionnaire in which basic likes and dislikes of a child with multiple options to choose .Very basic choices of children including favorite color, animal, bird, food items, fruits, juices, choices of games, favorite activity, toys, gadgets, favorite cartoon, character, affinity towards parents are noted.
By getting this data we delve into the child’s mind and his world (imaginary and practical) and help us to understand their psychology better.
Knowing their choices and preferences will help us to connect with the child better and modify or align our talking content accordingly. Knowing this we can establish a sound rapport and relax the child, make him feel comfortable, and at home.
Extended application of this data for each child can be a used as a distraction technique or to gain attention, illicit co-operation, reduce anxiety and use in behavior management in children. This is primarily more useful in pediatric Dentistry to overcome Anxiety, fear, to relax the child.
This data can also be a helpful tool in behavior guidance and Counseling by pediatrician as well as teachers/counselors who are in contact with kids of younger age groups. Also in the end of app it automatically plays the video of child’s favorite cartoon character making the child happy.
To summarize it's a completely Artificial intelligence based mobile application in dental and medical field which can be used for data collection, likes dislikes of children to know child psychology, their area of interest and which can be used as play therapy,motivation,relaxation ,to get cooperation, to reduce or eliminate fear and anxiety ,get the desired behavior .
