Immersed in the protected area of ​​the Galceti Natural Park and at the foot of Monteferrato, stands the Polisportiva Prato Nord, which since 1988 has been active in the sports field. The Polisportiva Prato Nord was born from the merger of two companies, the Villa Fiorita and the Galcetello, and immediately took root in Galceti, at the current “Rodolfo Galleni” sports facility. The company aims to accompany and facilitate the educational and sports growth of each member by providing professionalism and expertise in the sector. Particular attention is paid to the Soccer School where over the years (from 2010 to today) the members have tripled. From the 13/14 season to the 17/18 season the Polisportiva Prato Nord managed to place itself always in the first 5 positions of the meritocratic classification of the Soccer Schools on Prato, in front of companies much more noble and with certainly more avant-garde structures, symptom of a field work and out (eg School Project) really important and qualitative. As for the youth sector, the company aims to improve from year to year trying to grow from under the boys who will then play in the first team. Throughout the history of Prato Nord, both with the Giovanissimi and with the students, the company has participated in regional competitions. The objective of returning to participate in a regional championship, relying on programming and field work, was achieved thanks to the victory of the Giovanissimi A 2001 championship in the 2015/16 season. A further award was given to the Polisportiva Prato Nord for the 2015/16 season, is that of the best company of the Province of Prato, given by La Nazione, Tv Prato and Almanacco Toscano on the occasion of the night of the stars on 16 June 2016.
