Sankofa Connections is an online affinity space for people of African descent to support one another through facilitated workshops, book clubs, chats and interactive resources and experiences that are designed to assist participants in healing from racial trauma while learning how to build healthy communities. It’s a digital sanctuary for people in our community who are seeking real connection, support, healing and empowerment. Rooted in community care and cultural pride, this network is designed to be our “Wakanda online” - a safe space where participants can unpack current events, share their stories and heal from racial trauma while learning how to build healthy communities.
This is more than a social space - it’s a movement for healing. Sankofa Connections is grounded in trust, intentional design, and a shared commitment to growth. Whether you’re joining us from decades of community-building work, tuning into the concepts discussed on the Lurie Daniel Favors Show, or seeking relief from the impacts of racial trauma, this is your place to go deeper.
Inside, you’ll find:
Thoughtful conversations with like-minded members
Exclusive events and resources curated for our community
A guided onboarding experience to protect the space’s integrity
Opportunities to connect across shared experiences, identities, and goals
We believe in the power of culturally responsive dialogue, self-declaration and mutual respect as a foundation for building community. Whether you’re looking for a sense of belonging or a deeper way to engage with your roots, Sankofa Connections is built for you.
Join us in creating a space that honors where we’ve been , where we are - and boldly claims where we’re going.
