The quiz includes 600 questions, divided into 7 categories:
• Defense (100 questions)
• Army (100 questions)
• Air and Space Force (100 questions)
• National Navy (100 questions)
• Expert level (100 questions)
• History and traditions (50 questions)
• Foreign armies (50 questions)

The “Defense” category is general and concerns the three armies, history, current events.

The Expert level brings together questions at a more advanced level, for those who already have military knowledge or who wish to deepen it.

Many subjects covered: organization of the Ministry of the Armed Forces, history of French defense, current issues on the armies, military schools, units, regiments, air bases, naval bases, armaments, vehicles, aircraft, helicopters, warships, international organizations (EU, NATO, UN, OSCE), intelligence services, First World War, Second World War, military traditions, major historical military figures, foreign armed forces, Paris Fire Brigade (BSPP), Fire Department Army Health (SSA), special forces, Technical and Administrative Corps (CTA), etc.

Tests to join the army as a soldier include psychotechnical tests, sports evaluations and an interview. A minimum level of general military knowledge is a plus for putting together a good application file and during the interview. For certain categories (specialist non-commissioned officers, officers on title, officers under contract, pilots, etc.), the exam is in the form of a competition and also includes interviews where general military culture is highly appreciated.
