The HalalMaX - Halal Food Check App scans ingredients and e-codes of a product to show their Halal, Haraam, or Mashbooh (Doubtful, until origin/source is known) status. It uses own data repository collected from authentic websites regarding status of food ingredients.

The users can tap “Scan with Camera” or “Pick from Gallery”, or manually enter ingredients/e-codes. The app extracts ingredients and E‑codes to look up in repositories to determine their status and shown them in color-coded form: Green = Halal, Red = Haraam, Orange = Mashbooh . The users can also tap an item for full details.
