The Greenhouse Gas Laboratory (LabGEE) app at the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM) provides direct and intuitive access to micrometeorological data collected by our atmospheric monitoring towers.
These towers use the Eddy Covariance technique, one of the most modern and accurate methods for measuring energy, mass, and gas exchanges between the surface and the atmosphere, essential for studies on climate and the carbon cycle.
With the app, you can:
• View the latest recorded meteorological data in real time.
• Monitor essential variables such as:
– Air temperature
– Relative humidity
– Wind speed and direction
– Atmospheric pressure
– Monthly precipitation
• Explore information obtained directly from our micrometeorological towers.
The app is a tool aimed at both researchers and students interested in micrometeorology and greenhouse gases, as well as the general public who wants to monitor environmental conditions in real time.
Developed by researchers at LabGEE/UFSM, the app strengthens the commitment to open science and scientific dissemination, offering reliable data and increasing understanding of the research work being carried out in our country.
