The month of Ramadan is the ninth month in the Hijri calendar that comes after the month of Sha`ban. This month is considered distinct by Muslims from the rest of the months of the Hijri year. It is the month of fasting. In it, people fuse and communicate frequently, and social relations increase somewhat.
