The current Magna Carta considerably improved the protection of fundamental rights. This constitution has a somewhat hybrid character, which does not propose a parliamentary regime, nor an absolutely presidential one, and grants some special powers to the Legislative power, such as the drafting of the general budget of the nation or the political trial and removal of the President of the Republic, the vice-president, the ministers of the Executive Branch, the ministers of the Supreme Court of Justice, the attorney general of the State, the ombudsman, the comptroller general of the Republic, the deputy comptroller, and the members of the Superior Court of Electoral Justice .
