The "Bangladesh Labour Information Management System (LIMS)" project is being implemented under the Department of Inspection for Factories and Establishments from May 2022 to April 2025. The objective of this project is to increase productivity through the digital management of workers and the creation of a skilled workforce in workplaces. The proposed project will identify and register actual workers and owners/establishments by verifying national identity cards/birth certificates. The data of registered workers and establishments will be stored in a central database, and new employment opportunities will be created through the national job portal. As a result, transparency and accountability will increase, along with productivity. This system will also facilitate the provision of various types of government and international assistance and incentives for workers.
