The Measurement System Analysis determines whether the measurement system is appropriate and confirms that a significant error is not introduced into the actual value of the process characteristic. The purpose of Gage R&R (GR&R) analysis is to understand the variability of the measurement system in relation to the tolerance or to the variation of the process.

The MSA GR&R App allows multiple operators to enter sample measurement data. After entering all measured values, it is possible to generate a report containing the characteristics:
- Repeatability
- Reproducibility
- GR&R repeatability and reproducibility
- Part variability
- Total volatility
- Effective resolution of the measurement system.
In addition, the report includes range and mean graphs.
