Montana Mobile IDs are cryptographically verified by the Montana Motor Vehicle Division (MVD), reducing the risk of accepting fraudulent or expired IDs. They also offer features like biometric verification (Face ID/Touch ID) and liveness detection for real-time identity verification.

The Montana Mobile ID Verifier app allows secure and private verification of age for anyone using a Mobile driver license or ID, including Mobile ID holders from other states.

NFC sharing must be enabled to send or receive age verification. The Montana Mobile ID Verifier app can be used on Android 9.0 or later with Google Play Services enabled. There is no charge for using this app, or for the use of a Montana Mobile ID.
