There are two kinds of guidance, there is taufik guidance and al irssal al bayan. Namely, there is taufik guidance so that we are given guidance so we can do good deeds. And there is such a thing as guidance in the form of explanation.

This guidance is given to all creatures in matters relating to the continuity and benefit of their lives in world affairs. "As for the Thamud, We have given them guidance, but they preferred blindness (misguidance) to guidance" (Q.S. Fushshilat: 17).
