Sunnah prayers are not obligatory, they are noble if they are carried out and there is no sin if they are missed, it's just that those who don't carry them out don't get the privilege of the Prophet's Sunnah.

By praying, we can complain about all the problems and difficulties we face to Allah SWT, and ask for His help and guidance. In this way, we will feel calmer and confident that Allah SWT will not leave us alone in facing life's trials

As a Muslim, you should not be selfish in expecting rewards from your prayers, because your worship is more important before God than the hope of reward.
