Welcome to the audio walk of the STADTSCHWÄRMER and our tour to JENA'S PLACES WITH HISTORY. On this tour you will experience historical places, hidden courtyards, interesting people to talk to and insights into Jena's history - then as now.

Children and young people from Jena and the surrounding area explored and researched this tour in workshops lasting several weeks and put together 12 listening stations for you. Student Johann accompanies you on the tour and has a lot of questions. City enthusiasts are looking for answers. You will meet historians, archaeologists and museum educators, poets and thinkers, legends and sagas. In short: you will learn (almost) everything about Jena's historical places. What legends are entwined around the Lobdeburg? Why was Napoleon in Jena? What is Ernst Abbe and Carl Zeiss all about? And what was the name of Eichplatz in the past?
