In the early 90's, in Rio de Janeiro and all over Brazil the movement called “forró universitário” began, and the Trio Forrózão was one of the precursors of this movement. He started playing at the Feira de São Cristóvão, in several stalls.

In 1997, they were discovered by Caetano Veloso, who adopted them as musical godfather, being responsible for the arrival of Trio Forrozão on the national scene. The group has played in the USA in New York, Boston and eight other cities in America. In 1998, he recorded songs by Durval Vieira and Zé Duarte.

In 2003, he won a gold record with the soundtrack of the film ¨Lisbela eo Prisioneiro ”and in 2007, he was a finalist in the Regional Group category in the 5th TIM Music Award.
