In 2020, the world found itself facing the worst health crisis of all time: the Covid-19 pandemic. In this context, the Regional Council of Medicine of the State of Goiás (Cremego) did not omit itself. With the mission of ensuring ethics and quality in medicine in Goiás, Cremego found itself faced with an unprecedented challenge: how to face such an unknown and devastating disease?
It was then that Studio Cremego was born, a pioneering initiative that promoted lives dedicated exclusively to the topic of Covid-19. Every Wednesday and Sunday, Goiás, Brazilian and even international doctors met virtually to discuss everything from basic concepts to diagnostic difficulties and the impact of the pandemic on public health.
There were 65 lives, 65 moments of dedication and learning, in which not only scientific knowledge was shared, but also the feelings that permeated this journey: worry, fear, dread. And, unfortunately, also the pain of losing friends and professional colleagues.
These moments, which were recorded as a Cremego collection, now take on a new form: the book "A COVID-19 e o Cremego". This book is not just a compilation of information, but rather a testimony to the strength and resilience of medicine in Goiás in the face of an unprecedented crisis.
With the aim of marking in history all the suffering experienced by humanity during this period, this work is a tribute to the health professionals who, despite facing so many challenges, spared no effort to save lives and keep hope alive.
Therefore, this book is not just another scientific compendium, but a testimony to humanity, a record of the struggle and dedication of all those who faced the Covid-19 pandemic head on, with courage and determination.
