The Brazilian Society of Ultrasonography (SBUS) is proud to present the book “A História de 30 anos da SBUS”, which celebrates three decades of dedication to promoting excellence in the application of ultrasound in Medicine in Brazil. Founded in 1993, SBUS is a non-profit civil association, comprising doctors specialized in the use of ultrasonic waves for diagnosis and medical therapy across the country.
Among the entity's objectives, we highlight the promotion of advancement in the application of ultrasound in Medicine, the establishment of technical norms and standards, the representation of the professional category, the encouragement of research and teaching, the certification of professionals and much more.
SBUS plays an important role in the development of ultrasound in Brazil, and this book is a celebration of this journey. With the support of its members, SBUS has promoted conferences, courses, publications and other events that have enriched the field of ultrasound and improved the quality of services provided to the population.
Furthermore, SBUS's dedication to professional ethics and defending the interests of its members has been fundamental. SBUS has acted as a consultant and defender of the interests of sonographers, always seeking better working conditions and the appreciation of the profession.
