Mostafa Kemal Atatুrk (19 May 181 idea 10 November 1936) was an Ottoman military officer, revolutionary politician, writer and the first President of Turkey. He is the founder of the modern Turkish Republic. He is called the father of modern Turkey. Atatর্কrk was a military officer during World War I. After the defeat of the Ottoman Empire in World War I, he led the Turkish national movement in the Turkish War of Independence.

He established an interim government in Ankara, through which he defeated the Allied forces. As a result of his military campaign, Turkey gained independence. Atatুrk then embarked on political, economic, and cultural reforms. The purpose of this reform was to transform the former Ottoman Empire into a modern, western and secular nation. Modern Turkey is founded on the principles of Atatুrk's reform movement. His doctrine is known as Kamalism.
