Traditional Adhara High School of Matlab Dakshin Upazila. Its position is near the western side of the northern border of the upazila. The school was established in the year 1973 at Adhara village on the north side of Naergaon-Pitamberdi road of the upazila. Chunu Market is adjacent to the school and the school is named after Adhara village. Those who have contributed with money, talent and property to spread the light of education in the school, Adhara, Naujan, Peyarikhola and surrounding areas are: Md. Ayub Ali. As a result of the donation of this tyagi person, the amount of land of Adhara High School is 1 acre and 20 percent. The school was started in 1973 from 6th to 10th standard. Since its inception, the school has been successful with the sincerity of qualified, efficient and hardworking teachers and the cooperation of the school management committee.

Md. Ishaq Gazi, the headmaster of the school, is working tirelessly to continue the streak of success despite the endless problems. He always wants to be like a guardian between students and teachers. He wants to take the success of this school to the top by giving all his abilities in life. All the members of the school management committee and the teachers are supporting the president and headmaster all the time to maintain the learning environment of the school. President Md. Head teacher Md Ishaq Gazi also said that the government has arranged subject-based training for teachers through SSTTI. Our teachers are also going there and learning new teaching techniques. Besides, he said, extra classes are arranged with the help of teachers for good results of the school.
