Demetris (Dee) Bryant was born in Jacksonville, Florida. She started her young adult life as a soldier in the U.S. Army. She joined the military to gain independence, learn a skill, travel the world, and to get money for college. Dee joined the military as an enlisted soldier after high school. She served in both the enlisted and officers’ ranks. Her most challenging endeavor was attending the Army Airborne School and successfully graduating.​Her greatest achievement was to proudly wear the uniform and serve her country. Dee retired in 2006 from the Army with 21 years of faithful and honorable service. She currently works in government service in the area of cyber operations. She holds a Master of Business Administrations degree, and she also holds a certification in Business from Georgetown University.
