Politics and trickery among the Arabs: The tricks of the tricks in the minutest tricks by Rania Khawam... This book predates the era of the Italian politician Machiavelli by a hundred years, as it contains “political tricks” that place it in the ranks of the book “The Prince” in terms of teaching the arts of emirate and governance. He is distinguished by his distancing himself from direct delivery and open teaching, and chooses stories and anecdotes as a means of teaching and guidance. What is strange is that this book, originally written in the Arabic language, since the year 1061 AH/1651 AD, has remained unknown to Arabic readers.
While it has been widespread and circulated among readers of a number of European languages, since 1976, when researcher René Khawam produced this book from a manuscript deposited in the stocks of the National Library in Paris. Its publication was not limited to the French language, but extended to other languages.
We do not doubt that the Arab reader will receive a double benefit: joy from stories and anecdotes on the one hand, and restoration of Arab political history on the other hand.
