Sharda Development and Environment coordination committee (SDECC) is a non-profit organization based in Singrauli, Madhya Pradesh. SDECC has been working towards its mission of providing a hazardless and pollution free environment. SDECC also works to skill people in various fields e.g. Carpentry, Apparel Design & Stitching, Electrical etc and promotes individual for self employment with aided skills. SDECC utilises waste material (woods, polythene, garbage, plastic bottle etc.) recovered from industries and do the recycle of waste obtained.

With the noble aim of serving all the sections of the community, Radio Urja 89.6 FM has been established by SDECC in Singrauli (MP). Radio Urja 89.6 FM is a Community Radio Station licensed under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India.

Radio Urja works for development and upliftment of local community by informing, educating, enlightening and awakening the masses of community. We do broadcast sensible programs in larger interest/benefit of the community. Radio Urja endeavours in building strong bonds with the local community. SDECC do continuous effort in order to understand interests, aptitude, issues, culture and tradition of community by engaging CRS staff with the local community and after analysing do broadcast in the larger interest of community.

Radio Urja is value-based community radio station and promotes individual for living values and moral development in all spheres of life. Radio Urja do pay special attention in the fields like value-based education, sustainable development, women and youth empowerment, skill development & youth awareness, health & hygiene, organic & modern farming and do broadcast 24x7 with variety of on-air shows including specially designed thematic village concept programs which are outreach to communities.
