The prayer of the covenant has been narrated by Imam Sadeq (AS) and Sayyid ibn Tawouz in Mesbah al-Zayer, Ibn Mashhadi in al-Mazar al-Kabir, Kafimi in al-Misbah and al-Balad al-Amin, and a congregation in Bihar al-Anwar and Zad al-Mu'adh. Quotation of the covenant prayer by great scholars such as Sayyid ibn Taws, Kafimi and Allameh Majlesi shows their confidence in the covenant prayer; and the content of the covenant prayer has been confirmed in another.

The prayer of the Old Testament is a prayer narrated by Imam Sadeq (AS) and includes renewed allegiance to Imam Zaman (AS). It is said that anyone who reads the prayer of the covenant forty in the morning will be one of the Prophet (s).

The prayer of the covenant includes a special greeting on the part of the prayer reader and also by all believing men and women in the east and west of the world, on land and sea, and by parents and children, before Imam Mahdi.
