Description of the Manav Adhikar Mobile App
The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has developed a Mobile App named as “Manav Adhikar” with the technical assistance of NIC. This mobile app can be used by all complainants for lodging/ tracking the complaints using their mobile devices.
The mobile application has the following key functionalities:
1. Lodge Complaint: Complainants can lodge complaints regarding violations of human rights. Information regarding the contact details of complainants, victim details, and incident details submitted by the complainants is processed by NHRC/ concerned SHRC for early resolution of the matter in accordance with the PHR Act, 1993. After submission of the complaint, a diary no. is generated as an acknowledgement, which is displayed on the screen as well as sent by NHRC to complainants through email, SMS, and push notifications.
2. Search Complaint: Status of the complaint can be searched using parameters such as diary no., case/ file no., incident date, victim name, complainant name, e-mail, mobile number, state, district, etc.
3. Check Case Status: Complaint/ case status can be retrieved using the exact complaint information, i.e, by diary no., case/ file no.
