The Protestant Church in Western Indonesia (abbreviated GPIB) is a fellowship of Protestant Christian believers in Indonesia where the Lord Jesus Christ is the basis and head. GPIB is part of the Protestant Church in Indonesia (GPI) which in the Dutch East Indies era was called the Protestantse Kerk In Westelijk Indonesie. Institutionalization and the establishment of GPIB as the fourth independent church in the GPI environment, as agreed and decided upon by Decree of the High Representative of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Indonesia No. 2, December 1, 1948

GPIB uses the Gita Bakti song as a hymn, hopefully it will be useful
