This app has been devised as an aid to determine whether episodes of loss of consciousness are likely to be epileptic seizure and if so how best to manage them.

It has been developed for use in the resource-poor world, in patients over the age of 9 years by epilepsy - inexperienced doctors or health workers working with doctors.

This app includes a probability score of the episode being due to an epileptic seizure and guidance about the interpretation of that probability score.

No method of determining whether an episode is epileptic or not is correct in every instance and this app is no exception.

This app is not intended to be used in clinical practice in developed countries

The app should not be used in children under the age of 9 years.

Patient-identifiable information should not be uploaded from the app.
