The Turkish Dental Association (TDB) is the collective voice of over 50,000 dentists providing oral and dental health services in our country and the representative of the profession in Turkey. A constitutional organization, the TDB was officially established on June 7, 1985, by the "Turkish Dental Association Law" numbered 3224, and falls under the "professional organizations with public institution status" as defined in Article 135 of the Constitution.
The TDB develops scientific and protective policies to protect and improve the public's oral and dental health and provide accessible services. Through annual international congresses, it keeps its members informed of current scientific developments and new technologies in dentistry.
The Association works to protect the professional rights and ethical values of dentists and serves in collaboration with 44 Chambers of Dentists across Turkey.
The TDB Mobile Phone Application provides an information and service platform that members can access anytime via their mobile phones. The application is for the exclusive use of TDB members, and security and privacy standards are maintained in accordance with applicable legal regulations.
The TDB manages its relations with public institutions through the Central Executive Board, raises issues related to the profession, and shares proposed solutions with relevant authorities. The Chambers of Dentists, on the other hand, interact directly with their members and work with voluntary contributions for the development of the profession. Membership of the Chambers is a legal obligation for practicing dentists.
Coordination between the Association and the Chambers is strengthened through Presidents' Council meetings, and effective solutions are developed to address these challenges. The TDB publishes statutes, regulations, and circulars to raise professional standards and ensure ethical principles.
In addition, the Association supports professional development after academic training through Continuing Dental Education (CDE) programs and raises the standards of dental practice. The TDB Journal and book series, which are published regularly, keep members informed of current developments and contribute to the advancement of the profession.
The TDB collaborates with civil society organizations in line with the principles of a democratic, secular, and social state governed by the rule of law. It also plays an active role in international committees as a member of the FDI (World Dental Association) and the ERO (European Regional Organization).
TDB CEP was developed by TDB and is intended for use only by TDB members.
The application's security and user privacy are ensured in accordance with applicable legal regulations.
