This novel encompasses all aspects of humanity, as Hugo reveals the lost childhood, love, war and imprisonment in which the protagonist lost his entire life inside. Jean Valjean is the main hero in this novel, his simple life, which was about some situations that reveal how he earns a living without being harmed or troubled, but in spite of that he loses his life for a trivial reason.
