One day, the tranquility of Askr is shattered when 5 giant cracks appear in the sky.
Countless humans spill out and begin indiscriminately slaughtering any monster in sight.
The commotion alerts the Overlord of Askr, who rallies the demons and successfully resists the waves of attack.

Strangely, however, the defeated humans soon return with better gear and full health. Exhausted by the never-ending resistance, the monsters begin to lose ground. After three days and nights of intense fighting, the "warriors" seal all the demons away and conquer all 5 regions. Too weakened to continue the fight, the Overlord is driven to a small area at the edge of the continent.

With only one eye left, the Overlord lives in seclusion as Askr returns to an eerie silence, as if nothing ever happened. That is, until a monster stumbles upon the missing eye and seeks the Overlord's help in finding his lost mother in Oloclaire...
